Essential Dentistry has been part of the Okotoks community for over four decades. We're a family dental clinic in the truest sense — led by Dr. Brett Williams, with many of our patients now bringing in their third generation.
What's kept us here this long isn't the equipment or the location. It's the relationships. We get to know our patients by name, remember the small things, and build care plans around the lives they're actually living — not just the teeth in their mouths.

MEET YOUR DENTIST
Dr. Brett S. Williams
Dr. Williams has been caring for Okotoks families for nearly two decades, continuing a legacy his father began over 40 years ago. His calm, easy-going manner puts even the most anxious patients at ease, a reputation he's built one visit at a time.
He provides the full range of dental services and has a particular passion for caring for children, making first dental visits a positive memory rather than a stressful one.
Outside the clinic, you'll find him spending time with his wife and family, enjoying the outdoors around the Foothills, and supporting community events around Okotoks.
Shelly
Dental Assistant
Shelly has been part of Essential Dentistry since 1999, working in nearly every area of the clinic over the past two decades. Outside work, you'll catch her hiking, mountain biking, or skiing somewhere in the Rockies with her family.
Dawn
Dental Assistant
Dawn has been a dental assistant for over 20 years, the last 11 of them working alongside Dr. Williams at Essential Dentistry. When the weather allows, she's on her motorbike or walking the river pathways — and in winter, she's curled up with a hot cup of tea and a good book.
Courtney
Dental Hygienist
Courtney started her career as a dental assistant before training as a hygienist at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries. Outside the clinic, she's with her husband, kids, and their dog — snowboarding in winter and camping all summer.
Amy
Dental Hygienist
Amy has been a dental hygienist for over 11 years, certified through the Canadian College of Dental Health, with a focus on patient care and long-term oral wellness. Outside the clinic, she's hiking, skiing, camping, gardening — or dancing latin ballroom.
