Dr. Brett Williams and the Essential Dentistry team sincerely hope that you have been healthy and safe during this challenging time. We feel it is important, with the recent announcement from the Alberta Government, to reassure you that we are OPEN and have a few appointments available before the end of the year.
While many things have changed, one has remained the same; our commitment to your health and safety. Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. In addition to the safeguards dentistry has had in place for decades, we have introduced the following protocols into our dental practice:
- You can expect a phone call a day or two before your appointment to review COVID-19 screening questions.
- Masks must be worn to your dental appointment.
- Upon arrival we will ask you to use hand sanitizer and your temperature will be taken.
- You will be asked to complete and sign a brief COVID-19 screening form.
It’s important to note that patients will not be allowed to stay for their dental appointment if they have tested positive for COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, have traveled outside of Canada in the last two weeks, or have been identified as a close contact of a COVID-19 positive case.
The Canadian Dental Association recommends not delaying routine dental care during the pandemic as poor oral health can impact overall health. Many of our patients have expressed their appreciation for the measures we have taken in response to the pandemic. Appointments are booking up fast as the end of the year approaches. If your dental insurance plan expires at the end of December, call us today to reserve an appointment. Unused benefits do not roll over!
